While the eyes of the world are on Gaza, Israeli settlers in the West Bank still behave with impunity
As the harvest season begins, attacks on Palestinian farmers and their land are spiralling. The words of peace following the Gaza ceasefire ring hollow.
Last Monday, when the US president, Donald Trump, addressed the Knesset alongside the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, my compatriot lawmaker Ayman Odeh and I raised a banner calling them to “Recognise Palestine”. We were brutally expelled by force from the parliament’s plenum, revealing the fragile state of the supposed “only democracy in the Middle East”. How can Trump and Netanyahu speak of peace in the Middle East without recognition of the people deprived for decades of their basic liberties and rights under vicious occupation?
Nowhere is the deceit more clear than in the occupied West Bank. There, the words of peace are but a weak and distant voice, but the horrifying sounds of settler violence and terror still echo loudly. More than 30 occurrences of settler violence against Palestinians have been documented since the announcement of Trump’s 20-point plan at the end of September, including physical assaults, theft of agricultural produce and torching of vehicles and property.
The rise of settler terrorism is not coincidental. This period marks the start of the harvest seasons. More than a vital economic event, it is an important social and national moment that exhibits endurance under occupation. Precisely for these reasons, year after year settlers target Palestinians during this precious time. During the 2024 harvest period, Yesh Din (an Israeli human rights group that collects and disseminates information regarding violations of Palestinians’ human rights in the West Bank) documented 113 separate incidents of violence, harassment, harvest-thwarting or damage to olive trees and crops involving Israeli civilians and soldiers, which took place on lands belonging to 51 Palestinian villages, towns and communities.
Yesh Din also found that “Israeli security forces appeared to have played a greater role in obstructing the olive harvest”. In about 70% of forceful prevention of access to lands, soldiers, border police officers and settlement civilian security coordinators (CSCs) were actually present. They either personally prevented Palestinians from accessing and harvesting in their own lands, or failed to stop settlers who harassed or assaulted them.
This comes as no surprise, as the leader of the settlers’ political party, Bezalel Smotrich, was appointed as an additional minister in the Ministry of Defence in charge of the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT). In Umm al-Khair, for example, a special COGAT unit uprooted private olive trees of Palestinians, citing lack of permits, but ignored violations of an illegal nearby settler outpost. Last week, the Jerusalem district court ruled to halt all building work in the outpost, which was built on lands seized by Israel and unlawfully transferred to settlers.
In the occupied West Bank, settler terrorism is nothing but a tool by the government to pursue de-facto annexation. Earlier this month, Smotrich led a march of thousands of settlers in support of annexation of the West Bank. He was quoted as saying, “We are continuing to take hold with our feet of the Land of Israel with many pioneers, many heroes, and hundreds of thousands of settlers who live in this part of the land … we need to normalise it and make it eternal.”
The settlers and their supporters in the Knesset are clear on their motives and intentions. Why, then, do political leaders in the west refrain from meaningful sanctions and diplomatic measures? Smotrich was sanctioned by the UK in June, but the effect of the sanction has been minimal. He may not be able to travel to the UK and tour the West End, but he still enjoys the ministerial power to grab lands in the West Bank. Even in the announcement of sanctions, the UK highlighted they take place “in his personal capacity” solely.
If the UK government acknowledges the reality of settler violence and its grave implications on Palestinian life, why does it still allow settlement produce to be sold in markets and shops in Britain? If Starmer is serious about recognition of Palestine as a state, how come it allows the Israeli government to violate its sovereignty with such violent means? Or was the recognition an empty ploy to shut down dissenting voices in the UK, a hollow act only to be realised in the rebranding of some maps?
A just peace must respect the fundamental rights of the Palestinian people for self-recognition, sovereignty and liberty from military occupation and siege. Only when every human being’s dignity between the river and sea is respected can we truly say peace has been achieved.
True peace requires an independent Palestinian state alongside Israel: this is the sole formula that enjoys consensus among the international community, the Palestinian national movement and the Israeli peace camp.
Trump may have inflicted pressure on Netanyahu to halt the genocide, but he probably only did so because the burden of his relationship with the pariah regime of Netanyahu had become too great. The mass protests across the globe for the liberation of Palestine, and the unwavering anti-government demonstrations inside Israel, are the real forces behind this pressure.
It is thanks to this enormous civil movement that a ceasefire has been signed, the hostages released and the people of Gaza can enjoy safeguard from annihilation. After the ceasefire agreement has been signed, it is vital to keep applying this pressure. The world has turned a blind eye to the atrocities in Gaza for too long; it must not repeat the same mistake in the West Bank.

If temporal Israel has become a machine of genocide, then CanaDa must become the Spiritual Israel—a nation judged not by Conquest, but by Truth and Justice.
When Palestinians say “from the river to the Sea Palestine will be FREE,” Israel has the US led ‘International Community’ believing it’s a terrorist threat, as if Israel isn’t acting out State sponsored TERRORISM against Palestinians! There is a Israeli-Palestinian history of conflict prior to October 7, 2023, that started in 1948!
A large part of the Jewish Old Testament deals with God’s continual displeasure with the stiff necked, disobedient “Chosen People.” Today’s generation of Israelis are so unlike Abraham’s Faith in the Eternal God. Abraham pleaded with God, the innocent should not be killed with the guilty in the Destruction of Sodom. When the President of Israel, soon after October 7 essentially said ALL Palestinians are Hamas, he gave the IDF State blessing to kill the innocent with the guilty the World can see Israel is doing to this Day.
Some 100 years after God promised Abraham he would be the Father of MANY NATIONS, not only the Jewish State, Jacob and his sons saw what they believed to be “The Promised Land” for the 1st Time. Genesis 34 makes very clear the local king’s son was madly in love with Jacob’s Daughter Dinah, and begged his father to ask Jacob to be able to marry her, and settle in the Land big enough for both people do do business in as it was in those Times, and live as one People. God was fulfilling The Promise, essentially giving the land to the ‘Chosen People.’
Jacob’s sons said the only way that could happen was if they became circumcised like they were. The king’s son, loving Dinah that much, was the 1st to agree and convinced the other men the strangers were Peaceful and they should agree to such an alien concept. The Jewish record is clear. “Now it came to pass on the third day, when they were in pain, that Jacob’s two sons, Simeon and Levi, Dinah’s brothers, each took his sword, and they came upon the city with confidence, and they killed every male.” They plundered the city, their flocks and their cattle and their donkeys, and whatever was in the city and whatever was in the field they took. And all their wealth and all their infants and their wives they captured and plundered, and all that was in the house.” and quickly got out of town. Jacob’s sons did that without informing Jacob beforehand.
In this COMMON ERA of Christ, circumcision takes on a Spiritual sense of the letter:
The record in the Old Testament of the 2nd Time the Hebrew hoards saw the Land of Canaan some 400 years later, tells us the “Chosen People” killed the women and children and their flocks were all killed. Israel didn’t exist when Jesus walked the West Bank during the Roman OCCUPATION of Palestine until it was recreated from the Old Testament in 1948. By that Time film existed, and now we have instantaneous TV reporting of the unfolding Israeli Genocide in Gaza as it’s happening in this World TODAY.

In the last Book of the Jewish Torah, Deuteronomy 28 written some 3500 years ago, for all it’s length, is a simple, two-part covenant between God and Nation. All Peoples and Nations are given the same options in this Time, that may be the last lap of the Human race!
The First Part: Blessings: The first section promises blessings for obedience. If you obey God’s commandments, you and your nation will be blessed with prosperity, health, and victory. Your work will be successful, your enemies will be defeated, and you will be a leader among nations.
The Second Part: Curses: The much longer second section describes the curses for disobedience. If you disobey, your life will be plagued with disease, poverty, oppression, and destruction. You will lose your land, your enemies will triumph over you, and you will be scattered among the nations.
In order that they know from the shining of the sun and from the west that there is no one besides Me; I am the Lord and there is no other.

The US West and their MSM Propagandists are totally complicit and like a 5th Horseman of the Apocalypse, project Israel STARTED THE WAR in self-defence. In fact it’s naked, brutal, ILLEGAL Israeli aggression as the serial violator of International Law with US-Canadian complicity.
Carney’s CanaDa condemned Iran’s RIGHT under International Law to retaliate against Israel starting the Middle East WAR, without condemning Israel for starting it.
Despite years of severe US Western Economic sanctions on the ordinary People of Iran to make their lives miserable, they survived. This US-Israel Act of WAR will cause Iranians to rally and support their government in face of this EXTERNAL aggression, just like Trump’s tariffs created a groundswell of ordinary Canadian Patriotism that hasn’t been seen since WWII, propelling Carney into Office, albeit, a minority government.
Carney already knew most of this World’s Leaders before entering politics, and because of that fact I believed he was best equipped to deal with the unfolding realities in this Material World. I made that perfectly clear in my 1st contact letter to him on March 16 and expressed it in no uncertain terms in the Easter Sunday letter with this line: Trust me Prime Minister, I may speak inconvenient Truths to you, but It’s done in this Spirit: As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Revelation 3:19
With his delusional WAR mongering statements at the G-7, it turns out I was wrong in that initial assessment. Now I see Carney as a danger to the Peace in CanaDa and the World. I will not write to him again until after I see his stance at the NATO meeting next week. His stance at the G-7 on such fundamental issues as World Peace has taken away my support. His position has compelled me to oppose him in any Peaceful way I can in the Power of the Word made Flesh. John 1:14
CanaDa’s traditional history in the World was that of a Peace Maker and Carney has abandoned that role. He is a weak Leader and a Moral Coward as an obedient vassal to US-Israeli hegemony. As money man, he serves the US Dollar, the image of the beast, having the Israeli Star of David above the US Eagle on the back of every US Dollar.
The interesting thing to note about the Israeli Star of David is it’s made up of 2 pyramids upside-down to each other. The pyramid on it’s tip ready to topple over is the pyramid system over all of us, with the small minority of rich and powerful kings of the earth at the top of the Global Economic system who were at the G-7 meetings.
