The Blame Game: A Reflection on Human Nature and Biblical History
Blaming others is nothing new; it dates back to the very genesis of humanity, as recounted in the Bible. When God placed Adam, made in His image, in the paradise garden of Earth, He gave him clear instructions: Everything here is for you to enjoy, and it’s all good. But don’t touch the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil in the middle of the garden. If you do, you will die. Trust me, you don’t want to experience evil.
Adam was the only human among the animals. As recorded in my 1855 edition of the Bible—the same edition used by Presidents Lincoln and Obama for their oaths—God declared:
“It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a help meet for him.”
This truth remains as relevant today as it was 6,000 years ago. Too many people struggle without finding their life partner, contributing to many of society’s current ills.
According to the Biblical timeline, God put Adam into a deep sleep, removed part of his body, and fashioned it into a companion with a different looking arrangement of Flesh. Upon waking, Adam saw this new naked being like himself for the 1st time and exclaimed, “Whoa, man!”—a moment that marked the creation of woman.
Fast forward to Revelation 12, written 4000 years later, where we read: There was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon fought back with his angels. But they were defeated and cast out of heaven. The great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceives the whole world: was thrown down to Earth along with his angels.
Revelation 16:13-16 warns of Armageddon: I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, the beast, and the false prophet. These spirits, performing miracles, gather the kings of the earth and the whole world for the great Day of the Battle of God Almighty. Today, these “kings” are Billionaires, Presidents, Prime Ministers, CEOs and other idols of modern society.
Returning to Eden, the serpent cunningly tempted Eve: “Did God really say you can’t eat from every tree?” Eve clarified they could eat from any tree except the one in the middle of the garden, or they would die. The serpent countered, “You won’t die! Eating it will make you like gods, knowing good and evil.”
Eve succumbed, and so did Adam, despite knowing better. Their eyes were opened, and seeing they were naked, they covered themselves with fig leaves and hid.
When God asked Adam, “Who told you you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree I commanded you not to eat?” Adam deflected: “The woman You gave me, she gave me the fruit.”
God then asked Eve, “What have you done?” She replied, “The serpent deceived me.”
Adam blamed both God and Eve, while Eve blamed the serpent. From this ancient story, we see the peril of humanity’s desire to be like gods.
Six millennia later, the consequences of human arrogance and moral failure are still evident. No one can buy a stairway to heaven, yet many remain trapped by indoctrination, unable to question the deeper truths beyond the “apple tree.”
The moral remains clear: personal responsibility is paramount, and the pursuit of godlike power brings only ruin.

The blame game is still very much rampant in Homo sapiens, which has firmly ushered in an apocalyptic age of deplorable politics, outright complicity, devious duplicity, shameless mendacity, excruciating inhumanity, extraordinary brutality and unrelenting cruelty! Considering the countless wretched situations and dire outcomes that humans have repeatedly created for themselves and nonhumans through war crimes, holocausts, slaveries, genocides, environmental destructions and ecological disasters plus a litany of gross injustices, unconscionable exploitations and staggering corruptions, any reasonable person may insist or conclude that there is emphatically no longer the need, excuse or justification to blame the old serpent, Devil or Satan, who can permanently retire from being the stigmatized scapegoat, catch-all villain and evil incarnate.
Regarding your final caution that “personal responsibility is paramount, and the pursuit of godlike power brings only ruin”, even the most hopeful and virtuous amongst us still have little recourse for arriving at a far-reaching solution for all and sundry, whilst having to endure the sobering reality that “😱 We have Paleolithic Emotions; Medieval Institutions; and God-like Technology 🏰🚀”, the combination of which is increasingly plaguing and driving humanity towards even more hellish scenarios on Earth.

According to the Old Testament, Adam and Eve lived in paradise in total innocence until the serpent (the devil) enticed them to eat the forbidden fruit from the tree of knowledge. Well, do you have any thoughts on the significance of 2025 being the year of the Snake 🐍蛇 Shé?
Many people confuse their Chinese birth-year with their Gregorian birth-year. As the Chinese New Year starts in late January to mid-February, the Chinese year dates from January 1 until that day in the new Gregorian year remain unchanged from the previous Gregorian year. For example, the 1989 year of the snake began on February 6, 1989. The year 1990 is considered by some people to be the year of the horse. However, the 1989 year of the snake officially ended on February 8, 1990. This means that anyone born from January 1 to February 7, 1990 was actually born in the year of the snake rather than the year of the horse. Many online Chinese Sign calculators do not account for the non-alignment of the two calendars, using Gregorian-calendar years rather than official Chinese New Year dates.

I was born May 21, 1944 making me a Gemini. Tomorrow marks the 50th Year when I was born again, awakening to God living in my body, the fundamental of the Christian Faith. The Year of the snake officially beginning when the new moon enters Aquarius.
Being born again on February 1, 1975 makes a Spiritual Aquarian, aligned with the humanitarian archetype, Aquarians often find spiritual fulfillment in contributing to the collective good. Their altruistic nature encourages the pursuit of spiritual paths that focus on social justice, equality, and the well-being of all beings. .
With Trump in Power, the leading indicators so far signals the snake is alive and well. In his 1st term Trump repeated a poem called The Snake very often. The Year of the Snake is all about shedding that bad energy

Dragons are usually pictured as having wings. Maybe when it was cast out of heaven, the wings disappeared and became a Dragon Snake?

Thank you for your detailed reply. There are definitely physical, representational and symbolic similarities between the Dragon 🐉龍 Lóng and the Snake 🐍蛇 Shé. Pet ownership has soared since the middle class in China has achieved unprecedented prosperity. Dogs and cats aside, unusual animals such as certain smaller reptiles are becoming desirable as home companions, including the Snake 🐍蛇 Shé, which some Chinese folks affectionately call and regard as their little dragon 🐉小龍 xiǎolóng.

Any discerning, moral and reasonable person would conclude that it is much less “an apparent metaphor for Mexican immigration” than it is a caution that Trump himself represents the proverbial snake who cannot be trusted and who blames others for their own faults. This story is also very similar to that of the scorpion and the turtle or frog, as the following videos show:
