PEOPLE

It’s rare that I re-post articles from other writers to my blog, but the circumstances of the Times demand these poems of Diane Engelhardt gain more exposure.

This 1st one is about a fundamental Truth. The Masses of Ordinary People have the real Power as WE THE PEOPLE, to change this increasingly corrupt and violent World, not the small minority of the rich and powerful at the top of the Economic-Social-Power Pyramid System.

As for ‘The Children of Gaza,’ every ordinary person with a Conscience and a sense of our COMMON HUMANITY in this COMMON ERA of Christ should raise their voices so those those at the Top of the so called ‘International Community’ in their isolated towers to get some Moral Integrity, and stop the Israeli Genocide in Gaza – IMMEDIATELY. Especially in the US being 100% COMPLICIT enabling it.

Over 153 Nations on Earth have recognized a Palestinian State. It’s an empty gesture of Action. It doesn’t stop the murderous massacre Israel brings to defenceless women and children in Gaza.

If Trump had the Morality and Will, he could order Israel to STOP IMMEDIATELY but he doesn’t, and won’t until the American People raise their voices so loud, he can’t ignore it!

For those who remember Trump’s reference to “American Carnage” in his 1st Inaugural speech, watching from CanaDa, there’s no doubt he’s letting it happen in Gaza with US F-35s, US bombers and bombs, US bullets, and Apache Attack Helicopters, money, and Diplomatic support, Vetoing every UN censure of Israel for it’s Genocide in Gaza!

ORDINARY PEOPLE

It’s not kings, presidents, prime ministers,
governors, mayors and politicians
that will make the world a better place
for future generations;
it is ordinary people doing the hard work
and daily heavy lifting, ordinary people moving things
step by step in the right direction.

It’s not generals, commanders, soldiers
and national guards that will fight
for freedom, peace and democracy;
it is ordinary people taking their battles
to the streets and social media,
ordinary people practising
non-violent civil disobedience
on the front lines.

It’s not bankers, investors, executives
and multinational corporations that will keep
the economy running and put an end
to poverty, hunger and suffering;
it is ordinary people spending, giving,
donating and helping out;
ordinary people investing
their time, energy and money
in worthy causes.

It’s not the courts, judges, lawyers,
lawmakers and the police that will uphold
the law and see that justice is done;
it is ordinary people speaking out
against what’s wrong, and standing up
for what’s right, fair and just,
ordinary people never giving up,
and never backing down.

It’s not scientists, academics, experts,
technicians and engineers that will solve
the climate crisis and avert global chaos
and environmental disaster;
it is ordinary people sharing resources,
joining hands, and digging in,
ordinary people bearing responsibility,
taking initiative, and building community.

It’s not writers, philosophers, musicians,
artists and intellectuals that will answer
difficult questions and deliver the truth;
it is ordinary people daring to embark
upon a long journey fraught
with loneliness, darkness and peril;
ordinary people travelling onward
without a road map, yet fearlessly
staying the course.

It’s not priests, ministers, imams,
rabbis and gurus that will save our souls
and lead humanity on the path
toward grace and redemption;
it is ordinary people with love
in their hearts and abiding faith
in all that’s good and true,
everyday ordinary people
who will bring about
a bright new day.

A CHILD IN GAZA

If I were a child in Gaza,
(if I am not already dead and wrapped
in a white blood-stained shroud
with my name written in black marker),
I would have only one arm or one leg
or no legs and no crutches,
no wheelchair, no prosthesis,
so that my father (if I still have a father)
would have to carry me in his arms
or on his bent back like a donkey.
I would have no medicine to relieve my pain
or stop my stumps, my wounds, my burns
from bleeding, weeping and festering
and my poor mother (if I still have a mother)
would try to comfort me with her kisses,
her tears and her prayers.

If I were a child in Gaza,
I would cry for bread my mother or father
cannot give me and my brothers and sisters
(if I still have brothers and sisters).
I would sip unclean water and every salty trickle
would burn my throat and come out,
thin and putrid, into my pants or diaper.
I could not take a bath or a shower
or wash in warm, soapy water.
I would be dirty, cold and scared,
homeless.

If I were a child in Gaza,
I would have no toys to play with
and no school to attend with my friends,
(if I still have friends).
And I would always be seeking,
not a playground or a beach in the sun,
but a safe place (if there are still safe places)
where I would crouch and hide
from the bombs, the bullets, the soldiers.
I would tremble and cry and cling
to someone in my family
(if I still have a family to protect me),
and I would want the blasts, the explosions,
the screams, the noise, the terror to stop,
now and forever.

If I were a child in Gaza,
I would be afraid to go to sleep
(if I have a bed, a mat, a plastic bag
to lie on and a blanket to cover me)
and I would be afraid to wake up.
Sleep would come only when my eyes
(if I still have eyes), were too heavy,
too sore, too blurry to stay open.
But I would not know the difference
between each fierce, dark night and
every endless day.

If I were a child in Gaza,
I would look up at the sky
and wish that I could fly like a bird
high above the clouds and far, far away
where nothing could harm or catch me.
And when one day this hell on earth is over,
I will fly back to my people
and the place where I was born,
and there we will rebuild,
insh’Allah, and stay.

Jews in Nazi Germany concentration camps. Picture taken from Holocaust Museum

As for the kings and politicians, I wanted to insert this image right after “It’s not kings, presidents, prime ministers, governors, mayors and politicians that will make the world a better place for future generations” but I couldn’t find the way to do it.

And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty […] And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon. Revelation 16:13-16

I just came across this video Today, August 3 at 12:45pm ET. It’s a long video, some 85 minutes, interviewing a just retired Officer in the US Military. He was sought out and hired 4 Security for the 4 Gaza Humanitarian Foundation food distribution sites for the 1.5 Million Gazans.

GHF was chosen by Israel/US, to replace the 400 United Nations distribution sites in Gaza since the Israeli siege of Gaza started after the 1st Palestinian Democratic Election in 2006 Hamas won fair and square, and certified by all external election monitors, including Jimmy Carter.

US/Israel would no longer be able to claim Israel is the only Democracy in the Middle East. They told Fatah President Abbas to dissolve the Palestinian Legislature so Hamas could not form the Legitimate, Democratically Elected Palestinian government having won the majority of seats.

Abbas is still there as the Israeli proxy police force to keep the Palestinians in the illegally occupied West Bank “QUIET” about Israel’s serial violations of International Law with impunity because the US led “International Community” ( CanaDa and the nominally Christian Europeans Nations with the money and power) does nothing about it.

Gaza is not much bigger North to South in total area than Philadelphia. Israel banned the UN from Gaza, and Israel bars Foreign Journalists from entering Gaza so the World see the Truth and Reality of this Israeli Engineered horrific situation of Human degradation we see in Gaza.

This ex US Military Officer and Christian, no matter how much the money, could not betray his Christian Values and keep silent about the atrocities he saw with the GHF and quit. I believe his report and I suspect most people who watch it will believe him too! What can We the People do?

Badar Khan Suri, the Georgetown Researcher Abducted by ICE Speaks Out

“If my ordeal exposed authoritarianism and put a spotlight on the suffering in Gaza, I’m happy to do it again and again.”

GENOCIDE in PALESTINE – TO TRY THEM THAT DWELL UPON THE EARTH

Jesus Christ the Jew anticipated Israeli lying WAR PROPAGANDA we see unfolding in this material World TODAY with the Genocide in Gaza.

[9] I know your works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but you are rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. Revelation 2

[9] Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. Revelation 3

As I see it, this World is on the Path to ARMAGEDDON/WWIII and most People just don’t care about what’s happening ‘over there’ preoccupied, struggling to meet the costs, financial, psychologically and emotionally, living in the FREE WORLD the minority of the privileged and powerful elites at the TOP of the Pyramid System tell us we live in.

The Star of David Israel claims as it’s own, has much more Spiritual significance for THIS Whole Material World than 1st seen. Christ restores Spiritual Sight in a world where most People worship money and things. It’s such a simple Sign of the Times for our Generations!

What is it? What does it symbolize?

The 1st thing to notice is, it’s made up of 2 Pyramids upside down to each each other, yet totally intertwined interacting.

This world’s economic systems, no matter what they’re called, is one big Pyramid System with the rich and powerful elites at the top, with the masses of powerless passive peasants at the biggest bottom level, holding up all levels of that pyramid above them. That’s the Pyramid System ruling this world since Nimrod at the Tower of Babel. That’s the Pyramid System we have ruling over us these Days, on it’s Tip ready to Topple over.

The upright Pyramid has God at the top, the Star of David, established on Peace, Love, Good Will toward All, Truth, Justice and Works of Faith. That’s the place People have prayed to see repeated over and over again for the last 2000 years, “Your kingdom come, Your Will be done, on Earth as it is in heaven

That’s only a vain repetition if the People are not resolved to do God’s Will while they’re on Earth. Failure to do that by the People who are the real government if they learn to govern themselves, has led to Today’s World of division, disruption and increasing hate and chaos everyone will have to deal with in the short to intermediate Time ahead. That’s why the 2 Pyramids are interactive one way or another. God helps Individuals extract themselves from the duopoly of Pyramid Systems.

Christ Jesus says, ‘Call NO MAN on Earth your Father. WE have ONE Father in heaven.‘ If you accept that Christian Awareness Mission to the World, the existence of Billionaires in a MONEY DRIVEN World is a Crime against Humanity.

My personal reference Bible was printed in 1855, before CanaDa came into being. I see these words from that old Book being acted out by the POWERFUL minority elites in this Material World, in this Time of the Revelation of Jesus Christ the Jew Today, my paraphrasing in the brackets:

And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, (devil, Satan, Serpent) and out of the mouth of the beast, (Earthly Nation) and out of the mouth of the false prophet. (false teachings about the Eternal God)
For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth (Billionaires, Presidents, Prime Ministers, CEOs, and other Idols of the People) and of the whole world, (the rest of the passive powerless peasant People) to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
Behold, I come as a thief.
(when you least expect it) Blessed is he that watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue ARMAGEDDON.
Revelation 16:13-16

ARMAGEDDON was derived from Har Mediggo during the Roman Occupation and control of the area and the West Bank.

The God of Israel made Israel disappear from the Earth for it’s wrongdoings some 720 years before Jesus walked the land of the Jews, until it was recreated from the Bible in 1948. It is a wonder indeed, as if there is some Spiritual thread from then to now, the Occupation of Palestine is still the unresolved explosive issue in the Middle East where Bible History started and may END in our Lifetimes.

For those who follow the news closely, the MSM has been projecting for a while, the Jewish, Christian, & Muslim Middle East may lead to ARMAGEDDON, aka, the battle of that great day of God Almighty in our Generations, already shaping up while most people are asleep to it’s consequences over the Israeli Genocide in Gaza. The so called ‘International Community,’ aka, the ‘nominally’ Christian Nations, consent to it with SILENCE! (he came unto his own, and his own would not accept him-John 1)

Palestine is the litmus test for every single value the West supposedly holds dear. And we are failing miserably.

Palestine doesn’t matter more than Ukraine or Myanmar or Kashmir or Congo. But it matters in a different way, because Western nations are the primary engine of this genocide. And it is only the West that can stop this.

If you care about Western values of liberty, justice and universal human rights, Palestine is the issue.

About due process, Palestine is the issue.

About free speech, Palestine is the issue. https://www.reuters.com/resizer/v2/Y3BOQ5PHRJJQBPAWBUP2KFH63U.jpg?

About international law being respected, Palestine is the issue.

About the right of all human beings to have access to food, clean water and medical care, Palestine is the issue.

About children being safe from bombs falling on them as they sleep, Palestine is the issue.

About the crime of targeting hospitals, infrastructure and shelters, Palestine is the issue.

About not demolishing people’s homes, destroying their livelihoods and forcibly moving them into concentration camps, Palestine is the issue.

About not starving people as collective punishment, Palestine is the issue. About protecting our biosphere, Palestine is the issue

Our very fate lies in how we, as a civilization, meet this moment. Palestine matters because we have stated over and over and over again that all human beings matter. And if the West really believes this, it has done a horrendous job of demonstrating that so far.

The Day the Veil Lifted: A Spiritual Awakening in a Time of Crisis

On January 31, 1975, at the age of 31, I walked away from a lucrative career as National Marketing Representative, Mining Division, Dominion Engineering Works Ltd., a prominent Montreal-based company. The job, which I had taken with high hopes, turned out to be a far cry from what I had envisioned.

I thought I was being hired to travel coast to coast in Canada, all expenses paid, selling very expensive ball mills costing in the $100s of thousands in ’74 dollars to mining industries. Instead, I found myself confined to a desk, preparing sales proposals and production schedules. The realization that Canadian and American companies were outsourcing labor to third-world countries for excess profit—leaving workers here jobless—left me disillusioned. I quit without a backup plan, unaware that the next day would mark the most profound turning point of my life.

On February 1, 1975, the veil lifted. I experienced a spiritual awakening that redefined my existence. In an instant, I became acutely aware of God’s presence within me—a truth echoed in both the Old and New Testaments. This moment of divine connection was not just a personal revelation; it was a call to a higher purpose. Over the next 36 years, I grappled with this newfound reality, eventually sharing my story in a blog post titled “Day of Awakening – David vs Goliath vs Armageddon. Today, I revisit that journey, reflecting on its enduring significance in a world still grappling with greed, inequality, and spiritual blindness.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     That day, I was in high spirits. I was finalizing the deal that just by Time and Chance dropped out of the sky, to take possession of a dream apartment—a five-room space beautifully decorated by a French Canadian artist, complete with artwork and furnishings, all for going for $1,000. The rent was just $69 a month, plus utilities. It was a steal, and I was eager to make it my own. It was right in the heart of downtown Montreal on Hotel de Ville St. near Sherbrooke & St. Laurent, the dividing line between East and West. A 1 or 2 bedroom apartment on that Gentrified block in Montreal costs between $1700-$2300 Today.

I arrived with a wealthy Jewish friend to seal the deal. After handling the business, we got into an intense discussion about society, morality, politics, and religion—the human condition, life and death, war and peace on Earth. As I sat back, listening to their passionate debate, something extraordinary happened. At a certain point, it was as if a veil was lifted from my eyes. With what felt like the sound of rushing water, I was overcome with an undeniable realization: God! You’re alive! You exist! You really exist! In that moment, I came alive to God—or perhaps God came alive to me. It was a spiritual awakening, a connection to another dimension that I had never before experienced. I said nothing to the others—they didn’t have the same experience.

Later that evening, still processing the profound change within me, I met with another group of friends. Among them was an American artist avoiding the draft I asked three months earlier to create a portrait of me to encourage him, paying a deposit. When he unveiled the finished piece, I was stunned. It was no ordinary portrait. Instead, it was a symbolic masterpiece: a headless body standing tall, with a shield and a slingshot, standing in front of a car at the edge of a cliff, its license plate marked with a single letter—“D.”

The original portrait was done in pencil and larger than this copy of a copy of the original size drawing, both copies distributed on The Sparks Street Mall with a collage of scriptures with the header, PUBLIC NOTICE The original was stolen during a break and enter of my apartment in Ottawa. I added the Canadian Coat of Arms and the colour in the green arrow pointing up and the red light.

No one in the room knew about my spiritual awakening earlier that day. As I studied the drawing, I joked, “Dave, that’s a jock-looking image. I wish my body looked that good.” Pointing to the shield, I asked, “Is that a cowboy hat?” He replied, “No. It’s a shield and a slingshot. You know, like David and Goliath.” His words struck me like a thunderclap. David and Goliath. Here I was, hours after my awakening, holding a portrait that seemed to mirror the very themes now stirring within me.

The headless body symbolized humanity without God—a body that cannot stand on its own. The car at the cliff represented the global economy, teetering on the edge of collapse. The “D” on the license plate, when I asked Dave if it was his signature was met with a cryptic response: “It could be Death. It could be Divinity. I have no idea.” The timing was uncanny. It was as if God was speaking to me through the artist’s hand, using symbols to affirm the path ahead.

That night, alone in my apartment, I was overwhelmed with peace, joy, and gratitude. Tears streamed down my face as I thought, God, I don’t know what you’re doing with me, but whatever it is, keep doing it. I love it! I love you! At that exact moment, a radio broadcast began with the words, “Now that you’re a Christian, your work is just beginning.” From that day forward, I began a deep communion with God and Christ within me. Though I didn’t fully understand what was happening, I knew it was real. But my life was forever changed. It was a profound, visceral knowing. God is real. God is alive. And God is in me.

This awakening was not something I sought or expected. I had spent no time searching for God in my live, thoughts or actions. Yet, in that moment, I was born anew—not of flesh, but of the Spirit, as described in John 1:13. It was a clear demarcation in my life: BC (Before Christ) and AD (Anno Domini). From that day forward, I began a journey of communion with God, learning to live not by the will of man, but by the will of the Spirit.

The day of my spiritual awakening—February 1, 1975—was not just a personal turning point; it was a microcosm of the larger battle we face as a global community. The portrait I received that night, with its headless body, shield, slingshot, and car at the edge of a cliff, was a prophetic image of the world we live in today. The headless body symbolizes a humanity adrift, disconnected from its spiritual source. The car at the cliff represents a global system teetering on the brink of collapse. And the slingshot? It’s a reminder that even the smallest among us, armed with faith and courage, can confront the giants of our age.

Those giants are more visible now than ever. The spectre of World War III looms large in the U.S. war with Russia over Ukraine, concurrent with the Middle East on the path to Armageddon—aka the Battle of the Great Day of God Almighty—shaping up between Jewish Israel, Christian America, and the Islamic nations. Escalating tensions between global powers, the rise of militarism, the erosion of moral values, and the unchecked greed of the few at the expense of the many are all signs of a world in crisis. Yet, as my awakening taught me, these challenges are not merely political or economic—they are spiritual. The battle we face is not just against flesh and blood, but against the forces of division, destruction, and despair.

In the biblical story of David and Goliath, David’s victory was not just a triumph of skill or strategy; it was a testament to his faith in God. Today, we are called to embody that same faith. Each of us, in our own way, has a role to play in confronting the giants of our time. Whether through art, activism, prayer, or simply living a life of integrity and compassion, we can be instruments of divine justice in a broken world.

The concept of Armageddon is often associated with catastrophic conflict, but it also represents a moment of reckoning—a time when the forces of good and evil come to a head. For me, the question is not whether we will face these challenges, but how we will respond to them. Will we succumb to fear and despair, or will we rise to the occasion, trusting in the power of faith and the promise of redemption?

My journey since that day of awakening has been one of learning to see the world through spiritual eyes. It’s about recognizing that the battles we face are not just physical or political, but spiritual. The forces of greed, division, and destruction are real, but so too is the power of faith, love, and divine justice. Like David, we may feel small and ill-equipped, but with God on our side, we are more than conquerors.

Now, in my 81st year, I have come full circle. That dream apartment with the low rent, where I came alive to God on February 1, 1975, I gave up seven months later to enter the U.S. and discover the Spirit of ’76. God saved it for me. Today, I have a large, well-laid-out one-bedroom apartment, heated, with a parking space on Hotel de Ville in Hull, costing $398/month US. That is a dream apartment in these times of crazy rents!

This personal blog has chronicled many episodes in my search for God since that February day to the present. Through all the ups and downs, The LORD is my Shepherd. I shall not want. He causes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Even when I walk in the valley of darkness, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff—they comfort me. You set a table before me in the presence of my adversaries; You anointed my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

The day the veil lifted was not just a personal turning point; it was a microcosm of the larger battle we face as a global community.

The day the veil lifted was the beginning of a journey—a journey of faith, humility, and divine purpose. It was a call to see the world through spiritual eyes, to recognize that the battles we face are not just physical or political, but spiritual. The forces of greed, division, and destruction are real, but so too is the power of faith, love, and divine justice. Like David, we may feel small and ill-equipped, but with God on our side, we are more than conquerors.

And I said, “Woe is me for I am lost, for I am a man of unclean lips, and amidst a people of unclean lips I dwell, for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of Hosts. Isaiah 6:5
