In this letter to the Ottawa Citizen, the writer uses a Bible verse from the great Prophet Isaiah in chapter 42:2 to say my Public speaking is contrary to the Word of God. He objected to the header ‘Christ Didn’t Whisper’ in a letter to the editor by an earlier writer defending my Public speaking. That letter can be seen below.
Looking up that scripture to see it in context, in the very same chapter, at Isaiah 42:13 it reads,
The LORD shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against his enemies.

The header to this story would have attracted readers so it is good. I also like the ad placed underneath it about being a winner with the Christ of Christmas. I also like the thought of “I” ARKS from Noah’s ARK in the MARKS & Spencer Business sign in the background. As Mother Teresa realized, You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God; it was never between you and them anyway.
The story records I did say,”I’m a nut,” but like lazy news media tends to do, it was taken out of context:
“some of you may think ‘I’m a nut.’ Have you never read these words in the Bible? I went down into the garden of nuts to see the fruits of the valley, and to see whether the vine flourished, and the pomegranates budded. Song of Soloman 6:11
The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land.” Song of Soloman 2:12
The turtle has no voice like most people when it comes to the weightier matters affecting us all. This was a parable/prophecy saying the world is going nuts. Most people would agree the Vision has Generally been proven True after all these years.
This is the same Police Officer assigned to stopping me from exercising my Democratic right to Freedom of Speech in the image above it. After these incidents, I saw this Officer several times on the Beat and always acknowledged him with a cheerful, respectful greeting, but never stopped to talk with him.
Two years passed by and finally the Time arrived when our paths crossed by chance and I stopped to engage him in conversation. I was surprised when he told me he is indebted and grateful to me. He said he was only doing his job as he had to do. He said he realized the people were with me and I could have made him the scapegoat focusing everything on him and I didn’t do that. That was never my style with him or anybody anyway.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
What I find interesting to note, is how ancient Jewish Biblical History is repeating itself these Days in a new phase.
The Jewish Bible refers to the Prophet Micaiah for only one Day, one scene and situation of his life.
About 3000 years ago, the kings of Israel and Judah held a Summit meeting to discuss going to War with Syria.
The king of Israel gathered the prophets of Israel, 400 of them, to tell the kings if God was with them in the War?
They were unanimous, with no dissent at all, telling the king, “Ascend, and the Lord will deliver [it] into the hands of the king.”
I can only think king Jehoshaphat of Judah was somewhat skeptical of the unanimity, and asked the king of Israel if these were ALL the Prophets in Israel?
The king said, ‘there is 1 more, but I hate him. He never says anything good about me.’
After those 3000 years, what king of the earth is like like that these Days?
Guards were sent to get Micaiah and told him all the other Prophets were unanimous. God would give the king a win, so don’t rock the boat, and go along with the others. He did in a way saying, “Go up and triumph, and MAY the Lord deliver it into the king’s hand.”
While the Bible has no mention of any other Time, the king of Israel said to Micaiah, “How many times must I adjure you that you shall not speak to me but truth in the name of the Lord?”
Micaiah, in ‘speaking truth to power’ then said, I saw all the Israelites scattered over the mountains like sheep who have no shepherd. And the Lord said, ‘These have no master. Let them return each one to his house in peace.’ ”
It got worse for the king of Israel as Micaiah continued, “Therefore, listen to the word of the Lord. I saw the Lord seated on His throne, and all the host of heaven were standing by Him on His right and on His left. And the Lord said, ‘Who will entice Ahab so that he will go up and fall in Ramoth-Gilead?’ One said in this manner and another one said in that manner. And a certain spirit came forth and stood before the Lord and said, ‘I will entice him,’ and the Lord said to him ‘How?’
‘I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’ And He said, ‘You will entice and you will prevail. Go forth and do so.’ And now, behold the Lord has placed a lying spirit in the mouth of all these prophets of yours, whereas the Lord spoke evil concerning you.”
Naturally, 1 of the 400 other Prophets of Israel gave Micaiah a shot to the head.
The king ignored Micaiah and decided to go to War against Syria over the Golan. The king ordered Micaiah be sent to prison on minimal rations of bread and water, until he returns in Peace.
Micaiah said to the king: “If you will return in peace, the Lord did not speak to me.” And he said, “All the nations listen.”
The king of Israel divested of his royal robes and chariot, and went to War dressed as an ordinary soldier, and was killed.
I don’t think there are many Journalists or advisors to the kings of the earth having that kind of inner strength in speaking ‘Truth to Power’ these days.
In my view, God is not with Israel in their plan to start WWIII/Armageddon with a 1st strike on Iran.

There is a moral and premonition for Today to this ancient story. The seeds of Democracy were planted in that episode in Israel´s history. A fundamental principle of Democracy is, if the whole country disagrees with any one individual, that individual has the protected right to speak.
I attempted to do just that in Canada´s Capital, Ottawa, in 1977. Having no money to organize, advertise or rent a hall, I stood up as a free man on the Sparks Street Mall, the first street after Parliament Hill, and began to speak about God and the Global system of Babylon. People of their own free will started to gather, and eventually were backing up to the next block.
The Police came and stopped my speech. Arresting me for ¨shouting, causing a disturbance,¨ I was locked up in maximum security, solitary confinement for 5 days before appearing in front of a Judge, when I was remanded for trial.
At trial, I had 8 charges because I stood up on the Sparks Street Mall again and again, as was my right, and every time the people stopped to listen. The Police stopped my speech every time.
I was convicted, given a one day suspended sentence, and placed on a probation for one year with only one condition that was so unusual, there was no standard box to check off. Typed in at the bottom of the form were these explicit words:
¨Not to attend on the Sparks Street Mall, or any other street in Ottawa for the purpose of SPEAKING or shouting.¨
I made three more attempts to express my views of God and this world, and was sent to jail for 30 days.
The Ottawa Citizen and other newspapers who chronicled every incident, marking it in time, projected a positive image and reporting the crowds demanded the Police allow me to speak.
I was mindful and grateful in the knowledge other regimes in this world could have just made me disappear if I did the same thing over there.
That could change in our Democratic Future now that President Obama signed into Law a measure that takes legal effect this month
On getting out of jail I called the Ottawa Citizen saying, You projected a positive image. Now would you like to talk about the substance? They said, You´re not news any more. That´s the Free Press for ya! What can a solitary person do?
That was long before the Patriot Act.
There is a line in the Bible that says, ¨As it is with the prophet, so it shall be with the people.¨
I rejoiced with the election of this new smiling Pope from Venice, Italy. He was the 1st Pope to call himself the 1st since Pope Lando in the Year of the Lord 913.
He abdicated the Throne after 1000 years of Roman Catholic tradition, saying no crown and throne for the Pope who is just a simple priest. The Throne belongs to Christ. Saying that put all the Cardinals, Archbishops and Bishops on notice. He started to clean House. The Old Guard in the Vatican must have been horrified when this new Pope started taking charge, implementing his Vision of Christ in private and public.
The world to this Day, has not perceived or understood the significance of this historic, major symbol of a shift in Power. It announced to the world, the Advent of Christ coming closer to the People.
From the moment he was elected, he smiled and laughed a whole lot unlike his predecessors, and appeared strong and healthy. A month later he was dead. After watching The Borgias series on Bravo, I have to wonder? Was he implementing Change at too fast a pace to the discomfort of the Conservative traditionalists?

And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.
On my voyage in search of the Spirit of ´76, for a time I washed dishes for $1/hr at Suzanne´s Kitchen on the Boardwalk in Venice, California. I had a free place to stay half a block from the Ocean, and I was invited to party more than I could accept.
Waking every morning to witness the sun rise, I took a one task job at the Sea & Shore Restaurant to set up the patio tables & chairs facing the Ocean at 7am. For doing just that, I got a full breakfast, and for the rest of the day, apart from working at Suzanne´s from 11am to 9pm, I could sit on the patio meeting and greeting people with unlimited free coffee until closing. The bonus was, as a Canadian, it was my 1st Winter in the hot Sun.
One morning, 2 years before the brief Pontificate of Pope John Paul I, I woke up from a dream remembering the vivid images. I was a small child, perhaps 6 or 7, wearing a big, adult, General´s Uniform. The cap covered my ears. The sleeves extended way beyond my hands. The greatcoat and sword crumpled up on the floor.
Standing at the bottom of a great stairway, at the top, crowned and enthroned, was the Pope with all the attendant pomp and ceremony. He got up from the throne, and coming down the stairs, said to me, ¨Here are the Keys.¨
¨You´re giving me the Keys?¨ The Pope answered, ¨Yes.¨
¨You´re giving me the Keys to the Kingdom?¨ The Pope answered, ¨Yes.¨
¨You´re giving me the Keys to the Vatican and the Treasury of the Vatican?¨ In the Dream The Pope answered, ¨It´s all yours, and you can do what you want with it.¨
I said, ¨If it´s all mine, let´s order Champagne for the world, and go uptown Saturday night.¨ Then I woke up.
In the Larger Real World, 2 years later, the Cardinal from Venice, Italy, in FACT and Reality, abdicated the Crown and Throne.
Was the Dream a symbolic, physical representation of the Spirit of this letter?
At the same time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? And Jesus called a little child to him, and set him in the middle of them, And said, Verily I say to you, Except you be converted, and become as little children, you shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
This is a radical, revolutionary way of looking at things in a world where people think they know it all and only what they want to know.
The following video clips from ‘Brother Sun Sister Moon,’ the story of the conversion of Francis of Assisi upon returning from the 5th Crusade against Islam in the Middle East in the year 1210, is a fairly good visual graphic of the stairway in the dream I had in Venice, California in the Spirit of ’76. I thank God for the Internet.
In my dream, there was only the stairway which was much higher and steeper than in the movie, with the Pope coming down it and me at the bottom. All the Cardinals and Bishops in the movie were not in my dream, but the Church also being government at that Time, they were the Cabinet Ministers or Cabinet Secretaries, the rich and CEOs of those days. The Church was the way to money and power.

I’m still a subsistence worker, just managing from pay to pay, no 3 month reserve. An unexpected van breakdown or traffic fine/tax puts me in the hole. That last part of the dream has not come true – yet. The first part did come true in the real world.
A year later in 1977 I was publicly active in Ottawa, CanaDa’s Capital, giving spontaneous speeches to growing crowds on the Sparks Street Mall. I manoeuvred into the position so I could stand face to face with Prime Minister Trudeau and hand a letter directly to him without any intermediaries from Time to Time as he entered or left the House of Commons . I was in that unique position for 7 years until he quit in 1984, two weeks after representatives on his behalf questioned me at length on my attitude toward him.

Late at night around 10pm on August 3rd 1978, only by chance, I happened to be walking near the Langevin Block as Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau’s limousine and RCMP security detail pulled up.
As Trudeau got out of the car I said, “Peter, feed the sheep.”
The Official Title of the Pope is Successor to the Apostle Peter, and Pierre is Peter in French.
This is a variation of what Christ said to Peter the 1st Pope. I could not say feed “my sheep” because they belong to God, not me. He shrugged his shoulders and replied, “Alright! Alright! I’ll feed the sheep” and leaped up the stairs to his Office.
Naturally it would seem to be non-nonsensical to the RCMP Officer writing the report below. He had no idea what was in my mind speaking to the Prime Minister not 2 feet away from me.
The world rejoiced with with the election of the Cardinal from Venice, Italy, who became Pope John Paul I. He was relatively young and vibrant with a happy smile and appeared healthy.
Popes were crowned and enthroned like kings up to the election of Pope Paul VI. Pope John Paul I changed all that by abdicating the throne after 1000 years of Catholic tradition. Popes have not been crowned and enthroned since then.
In the real world, Pope John Paul I from Venice Italy acted out the dream I had in Venice California two years earlier.
The world, to this very day, has not perceived and understood this important and significant Spiritual symbol of a shift in power and sign of Christ coming closer to the common people.
A month after the election of John Paul I, moved by the Spirit on September 25, 1978 to convey a new message to Pierre/Peter Trudeau. I called his personal secretary, Cecile Viau, and recounting the previous months Papal events, I left the same message Jesus said to the Apostle Peter a second time, “Peter, feed the sheep.”
I was always connected to her phone through the main PMO switchboard, and only called when Prime Minister Trudeau was out of town if the Spirit of God moved me to deliver a message in any one Day. Otherwise, he left the House to go home for lunch & returning at the same times daily. He was regular leaving at the same time at the end of the Day.
To my surprise, shock and consternation, three days later the new Pope died. I was acting in my FAITH, moved by the Free Spirit of God in that Day I said the words directly to the Prime Minister, and for the 2nd time to his personal Secretary. I had no foreknowledge Popes would die 3 days later 2 times on speaking the words in my Faith.
The world was not aware of these behind the scenes realities. The world media just reported on the big news of Popes dying. God, Trudeau, Cecile Viau, his RCMP Security, and I knew. Unfortunately, Pierre Trudeau and Cecile Viau are no longer with us but the RCMP records remain.
On October 13, 1978, Prime Minister Trudeau made an appearance at Glebe Collegiate Institute in Ottawa to speak to the children prior to what the media called a ¨mini-election¨ of 15 federal ridings having a by-election. Standing at the main entrance to the school as he arrived, I said to the Prime Minister, “Peter, look at the Spirit of the 13. Feed the lambs.” I was wearing my trademark No. 13 jersey that can be seen in the picture below published by The Ottawa Citizen September 10, 1977. Official RCMP VIP Security reports confirm this incident.
The only difference from John’s account in the Bible is Jesus said to Peter, to whom the Pope is Successor, “Feed my Lambs” 1st in the sequence. This is said last in the Spirit of the Day as it is written, But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first. Matthew 19:30
Three days later I was in the Prime Minister’s Suite of a downtown Ottawa hotel watching election returns with Michael John Houlton the Independent Candidate for Ottawa Centre and other friends. Those returns were interrupted with news of the election of Pope John Paul II. Trudeau lost 13 of the 15 by-election seats up for grabs. Trudeau’s election was scheduled. The election of the Pope was not.
The 1st time I reasoned it could just be a co-incidence. What you have just read is exactly the way it happened. What would you think if that was your True Life experience?
For the last 7 years he was Prime Minister, I was in the unique position to be able to directly hand Trudeau a letter from time to time at the door of The Members entrance to the House of Commons as he got in or out of his Limousine. I never met him in private.
While The Ottawa Citizen wrote many stories on my Ottawa activities, the only Time I made the Front Page with Pierre Trudeau was in this lead image from February 2, 1982, as he was entering the National Conference Center for the Conference of First Ministers on the Economy.
The Citizen caption ‘Cheerful Prime Minister Trudeau arrives for another round of talks with provinces’ does not convey the story behind his smile. His limousine had just pulled up to the curb. You can see me between him and the photographer. I have a big smile, wearing a toque and my trademark #13 jersey. I am holding a white sign done in calligraphy on a pole. A rubber snake was coiled at the top of the pole.
As he got out of his car I said, “Prime Minister! Look at my sign! I had it made just for you and the Premiers.” It read: Woe to those who Judge for hire and profit, but not for Justice and Truth.” Obviously he liked the sign, or at least, my initiative on behalf of A Just Society, or maybe just the difference from the usual personalities surrounding him?
Two weeks before he announced he was quitting on February 29, 1984, I was unexpectedly visited and questioned at length by emissaries on his behalf wanting to know my attitude toward him? His RCMP VIP Security had previously determined I was no physical threat to him.
I was disappointed he quit. I liked him and was always respectful toward him in our public meetings, hoping he would do greater things for CanaDa and the world. I have never been moved in my Spirit to approach any other Prime Minister in person like that since him. Prime Minister Harper has personally acknowledged several of my email messages.
Thanking God for the Internet, email is so much more convenient as I approach my 71st year.
It was a great surprise and wonder, when Prime Minister Trudeau moved from The House of Commons to the Cormier House in Montreal. The links below are images of that House.
With no fixed Day for the election of a Pope, I was particularly pleased to see the new Pope was elected on March 13, 2013, having been associated with that number for a long time. With the benefit of hindsight, the video of Francis of Assisi before the Pope in 1210, embedded in this article 2 years before his election, fills me with wonder and anticipation as he attempts to walk in the footsteps of the original Francis to a skeptical world.
But we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block, and to the Greeks foolishness; But to them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. For you see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, has God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence. But of him are you in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: That, according as it is written, He that glories, let him glory in the Lord.
This heritage of freedom I pledge to uphold for myself and all mankind.
It was in the days of my youth in 1960, when Kennedy was President, the Prime Minister of Canada, John Diefenbaker, introduced this preamble to the Canadian Bill of Rights.
I am not always conscious of this ideal, but in retrospect, as I just turned 67, (now living my 80th year) I now realize it has been my internal auto pilot governing how I conduct myself, and how I deal with others.
I think this Canadian ideal of Liberty is totally consonant with America´s highest ideals.
I suppose that´s why Americans don´t know much about Canada, your closest neighbour and friend. We don´t cause you problems like the other countries you do know about do. Canada is your most secure source of oil in the world, and we haven´t rocked your boat, even with the Great Lakes between us. We have been at your side when it mattered.
The American Declaration of Independence from the bad, old ways things were done embodies the very same ideal contained in the opening paragraph:
´WE hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.´
What has this got to do with the American Liberty Bell and all it symbolizes? There is a big difference between espousing high ideals and practising what you preach. The Liberty Bell rings hollow in proclaiming Liberty throughout the land when the early wealth of a Nation is built on the backs and labour of slaves. That is why the crack is there.
I believe, as a Canadian and objective observer, President Obama is beginning the attempt to repair that crack between people. Obviously, being a prisoner of The White House, it is up to WE, The People, to actually do it, whatever is necessary.
I was upwardly mobile in the business world in 1975 when I experienced a Spiritual awakening as powerful and unexpected as the conversion of Saul on the road to Damascus. At 30, I sold all my possessions, and with a back pack on my back, headed into the Unites States to discover the Spirit of ´76.
For part of that 14 month experience I spent time in Tempe, at Arizona State University. I joined with the Cardinal Newman Centre, the just off Campus Roman Catholic church. The Centre itself was a new, one level, L shaped building, built around the old church well over 100 years old at the corner. It was unsafe to use for worship. but it had a BIG Bell in the Bell Tower. Every Day, someone was assigned to ring that Bell by a long rope about 4 inches thick in diameter.
The Priest would let me read the scriptures during services, but as often as I asked, he would not let me ring the Bell. One Day, to my great joy, the priest gave me the key to the old church and told me to ring the Bell and call the Faithful to Worship.
Being my first time in the old church, the Bell looked so high up in the tower as I grabbed hold of the long rope.
Starting slowly, I started to get into it and pulled the rope as I prayed to the Angel of the Bell.
With every fibre of my being, with all my vibrations, praying/thinking to the Angel, I thought, ¨Lord, let the sound of this Bell rise above the noise and the din of the city traffic. Let the sound of the Bell rise above all the petty hatreds, squabbles, conflicts, jealousies, crime and violence. Lord, let this Bell proclaim Liberty throughout all the Land!¨ I was really getting into it.
The priest came running over in a panic. His hands were covering his ears as he shouted, “Stop it! Stop it! You´re ringing that Bell too loud.¨ They never let me ring the Bell again.
